This packing conveyor system we designed and manufactured for an agricultural supplies company. It comprises of a number of workbenches with a modular belt conveyor.
Employees can be situated at the benches preparing and packaging products for dispatch. These products can then in turn be pushed onto the modular belt conveyor. From here they can then be collected for further processing or dispatch.

Why use a Modular Belt Conveyor Packing System?
In many scenarios a standard flat belt conveyor is suitable for use as part of a packing conveyor system. This particular customer however is a supplier of agricultural/horticultural chemicals. In some cases chemicals can damage a standard PVC/PU or rubber conveyor belt. The modular belt is much more hard wearing and resistant to chemical spills, and also very easy to remove for cleaning purposes.
Secondly, note the way in which items are pushed onto the conveyor belt. This type of transverse force can over time cause a standard fabric belt conveyor to slip out of place and become misaligned. When a belt moves out of place it is at risk of becoming damaged. A modular belt conveyor however with its positive drive does not suffer from this problem.
